My favorite TV Series

Hello everybody, how are you? I hope fine, because today I will speak about one of my favorite topics: the TV Series.

In this theme in specific, I have a lot of series that I follow, like: Games of Thrones, Under the Dome, Homeland, Teen Wolf, The Leftovers, The Following, Hannibal (I still have left episodes for see), Black Sails and more, I think. All this series generally I watch in vacation or on weekends.  The last series that I watched was “Scream”, but I only have watched one episode and I can´t say too much.

One of my favorite series of the last season (between September –December of last year) was “How to Get Away With a Murder”. The series is about Annalise Keating, a successful lawyer and professor in Philadelphia, who teaches how use the law for set free to your client, perhaps not the ethic way, but yes in complying with the law. In middle of this, a  girl college is found dead in a water tank. This murder begins to be connected with five students of the Annalise class and her.

Okay, I always do bad reviews about the things that I like, but this is a big series. First, because in the show is starring for Viola Davis, winner of one Oscar for the movie “The Help” and she is so fantastic. Second, the story has much drama and unexpected facts, the characters go it developing and all they have secrets and personal interest that broken the goals of the other characters. And third, in every episode there is a case in relation with the episode and the final is always a surprise.

Now I must wait until September 24th for the second season and I don’t know what will happen!

And so… I hope that to you had liked one of my favorite series.

So many places

Hi, how are you? Today I want to speak about the places that I would like to visit someday and I don´t know how start my story.

First, if I want to consider my own country, I would like visit the south of Chile. I know, this can be very extensive, but I want with a friend go to Hornopirén, place near to the Osorno. Also I would visit the lakes, rivers and native forest that may have in the region. Especially can be in summer with relaxing temperatures and the enthusiasm for discover other place.

Second, I go to look to the continent. Between the countries that I more want to go are: Brasil, Colombia and Mexico. Brazil because I was left with little taste when I went (for the available time). Colombia….hmm… I haven´t thought exactly why, but there are something that is fascinating, maybe the beaches, the mountains, the people, the mountains... And Mexico, because I have curiosity for see the Aztec temples and pyramids, at least, the ruins.

And Finally, I always have wished go to Europe in winter. My favorite countries to visit would be: Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic and finally United Kingdom.  Also here I don´t have “a compelling reason”, but since a child I´ve had a particularly interest for the medieval culture and I wish to visit castles, monasteries, and all the old architecture that coexists with the modern.

A varied website, al least for me

A news website that I like read (and sometimes, watch videos, photographs, infographics, etc.) is bbcnews.com, which belong to the network of radio and television called British Broadcasting Company, better known as BBC.

For me, the good that have this website is the variety of topics that shows, since contingency theme from all the world, specifically for continents, until scientific articles and other type of topics like that are in trending on internet. The particular of all this is that, in each one of the notes and articles that they write, they always use a simple and precise language, because the news must be understood for everyone.

One example that I always remember is when the website tried to explain the origins of the Greek debt crisis. In one video made for the economy editor of BBC News (whose name I don’t remember), he had the challenge of tell us in 10 seconds the Greek crisis. Obviously, the challenge was not met, but at least, I knew the answer: Greece must pay money due to their creditors.

Sometimes bbcnews.com is a website that serves to read “serious news”, but also for know “curious things” like: “why to the boys likes use a dresses?” , what sound basic and strange, but always the website want to go further.  

I follow to the masses (?)

Well, I know that I haven't written in long time and it´s a half for lazy and half for not know what I must write now, but today I want talk about sports and I´d like comment about the “Fight of the Century” (?) between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather.

I write about this because I don´t know too much about the sports and only I´m present when is a event too massive and obviously, all people will talk about this the next day. I think for that reason that I watched the fight.

I intuited that the fight wouldn’t be like Rocky v/s Ivan Drago in Rocky IV (I mention this movie because is the only that I watched of Rocky), I mean, a exciting fight with liter and liter of blood. No, that didn´t happen. Only Pacquiao attacked to Mayweather and Floyd kept his guard. That was his strategy (very intelligent strategy) and, although with it he retained his title, both showed a poor spectacle, above all knowing that this fight would be seen in all world.

So, ok, was boring (at least for me), but I could share the feel that had my parents and family when they saw the Martin Vargas´s fight in Japan. All week they told about this remembrance and I believe that I could understand them.

And that´s all… that is the last that I know about the sports…

One good day, but not one good photograph

Today I will introduce you a photograph that I like too much and, although that this picture is of bad quality and with much blur, represent a desire that I have always had: Go to the Book Fair of Santiago.

This picture was taken on November 5th, 2014, in the edition number 34 of this fair, located at the Estación Mapocho. I think that this it’s one of the activities that I was hoping in the year, and not for the discount in the buy of the book, but yes for the variety of books that there would have.  And during the four hours I was there, I could see so many authors, writers and interesting people that love the books.

I went with my friend that also is from Vicuña and, obviously, she likes so many read. In fact, she was the first that took advantage of her "passion" and bought a lot of books (I remember that she taken near of seven books?) and the most funny was that she barely could carry her new acquisition, because she measures 1, 43 centimeters and She couldn´t carry such weight. After of laughing me at that, I set out to help her until the subway station.

Well, I hope that enjoy my bad bad photography.

The music that I love

Hello everybody, how are you? I´m fine and I write about be fine because today I will talk on the type of music that, I think, I like.

I believe that is very difficult define, at least for me, which type of music I would like, because depends of my frame of mind or the day that I have lived. Also depends why, sometimes, I stay for weeks or even months in a particular music style.   For example, now I listen a lot of Britpop and Rock of the nineties (also from UK). In other occasions, I can listen since ska, latin rock, Spanish rock, indie rock, grunge, folk, punk, rock progressive, hardcore and then I come back again to a type of music most calm or soft.

Generally, I never discriminate the year (for this reason, I´m never in music trend of the moment), the language, the story of the singer or the music band. I only listen the song and if feel something, if I raise the hairs on my arms or, simply, if I have a connection with the song, then, I feel paid in this life.

Now I have been very attached with a song that calls “Some Kind Of Nothingness” from the Manic Street Preachers, that is one British band of the 90´s. I love the gospel chorus of the song. My dream is go to one.

The last movie that I watched

Hi, how are you? I hope that fine, because today I wanna talk about one of my favorite topics: the movies.

Well, I really like watch a lot of movies, but I am so lazy and only I go to a cinema theater when I have some of information about the film (money is money, and I must take care of it), for example, if the movie are based in a book.  For that, in the last time, I still have not gone to a cinema and I have watched movies in my computer.

The last film that I watched was “Still Alice”, movie starring for Julianne Moore and it’s about a linguistics professor that begins to lose his memory because she was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer´s disease (the story also based in a book). This affects to his job and family, who must accompany her in his fight against the illness. I think that this movie is one of the few films about this topic that moved me, because manages to reflect all the process of the disease and Moore was able to captured the essences of have to lose each words, facts that not remember, dates, names and the things that one can consider like the most small.

Generally I not only prefer the drama films, also I enjoy the sci-fi, thriller-psychology, horror, romantic (depends if not is cliche), comedy (if is black or absurd humor) and animated films (I really like Studios Ghibli movies). In fact, I think that I like all type of film.

I hope that you agree a little with me or if not, I don´t care (Is joke)
